The Journal of the Institute of History and Philology mainly publishes long academic papers in the fields of history, linguistics, archaeology, anthropology, and philology, covering a wide range of topics and conducting in-depth research. Among them, the language research section is particularly prominent, focusing on the study of Chinese history, dialect investigation and research, and investigation and research of minority languages. It has made important contributions to the study of ancient Chinese phonetics, exegesis, and writing, as well as the study of modern Chinese dialects.
